'It is our pleasure to present this major exhibition in Seoul, Korea, titled “Karsh 100: Faces of Our Time.” The exhibition opened March 3, 2009 at Seoul Art Center, with 65 selected original photographs by Yousuf Karsh.

Karsh has long been acknowledged as a master of portrait photography, but this is the first time his work has been presented on this scale to Korean audiences. The exhibition is divided into three parts: i) iconic portraits; ii) journalistic assignment photographs; and iii) early work. These works are presented with Karsh’s personal comments and with biographical profiles of some of the most celebrated figures of the 20th century.

Through these selected photographs, from the 1930s to 1990s, we look forward to sharing this insight to the century’s heroes, and adding to the understanding of this master’s intention & vision.'
