Harold Ickes


One of the longest serving cabinet members in history, Ickes was Secretary of the Interior during all of Franklin Roosevelt’s 13 year term as President of the United States. As such, he was responsible for implementing much of the “New Deal”, and was an outspoken supporter of civil rights.
