Yehudi Menuhin is widely acknowledged as one of the greatest violinists of the 20th Century. He had a long and close friendship with Wanda Landowska, teacher and performer, who was the first person to record Bach’s Goldberg Variations on the harpsichord, and is credited with reviving the popularity of the instrument.
