We recently discovered the story of Canadian trailblazer Marjorie McKenzie through a researcher. McKenzie made history in 1930 as the first woman to take the foreign service exam, tying for first place, but had to wait until 1947 to be appointed.
McKenzie had previously worked as a secretary to two Under Secretaries of State for External Affairs: O.D. Skelton and Norman Robertson. Thanks to Global Affairs Canada for sharing a copy.
