Today is Presidents’ Day federal holiday in the United States which is celebrated annually on the third Monday of February in honor of George Washington, the first President of the United States.

Karsh photographed twelve United States Presidents, (not necessarily in office at the time) from Herbert Hoover in 1948, to Bill Clinton in 1993 by way of Kennedy, as pictured here in 1960.
